Online workshop: Integration of individual-level socioeconomic data for infectious diseases research and prevention in Europe

The BY-COVID project aims to make data on COVID-19 and other infectious diseases available to scientists and the wider public. This workshop targets researchers working with sensitive data and having experience with or being interested in solutions towards the integration of individual-level socio-economic data for policy-relevant infectious diseases research. This can include BY-COVID partners or anyone interested in the topic.

Tallinn, Estonia: Infectious Diseases Toolkit (IDTk) Contentathon 2024

Into the Infectious Disease Toolkit (IDTk), we gather knowledge we wish we had when the pandemic hit us in the spring of 2020. At the contentathon participants will contribute to writing guidelines for data handling, analysis and visualisations in the context of infectious diseases.

BY-COVID: A new EU project coordinated by ELIXIR

A new EU funded project coordinated by ELIXIR has been launched today. BY-COVID is a €12million Horizon Europe project striving to tackle the data challenges that can hinder effective pandemic response. 

This interdisciplinary project involves 53 project partners from across 19 countries within Europe and draws together experts from the life sciences, policy and social science ensuring that the project is driven by a diverse range of science. 

ELIXIR-Estonia is part of the consortium and associate professor Hedi Peterson from University of Tartu is leading the actions from Estonian side.
